This is the New School Marcie attended in NYC where she studied with Chico Hamilton, Lewis Nash, Reggie Workman, and Michael Carver among others.
Before getting gigs like Juvenile and Beyonce, Marcie was able to travel for the New School Jazz and Contemporary School of Music program to Italy.
Marcie uses Meinl percussion and cymbals, Vic Firth sticks and mallets, Remo drumheads and in the past has also used Roland pads, and Factory Metal effects.
Her current rotation of music includes starting the day with Christian music like Tye Tribbet and Kirk Franklin. Later on some Reggaton like J Balvin and Maluma, possibly some hip hop by Drake and ending with some Brazilian like Robson Jorge & Lincoln Olivetti, Carlinhos Brown or Claudia Leitte.
She is currently working with CeeLo Green and in the past has worked with the likes of Beyoncé, Jay Z, Alicia Keys, J Lo, Jill Scott, Al Jarreau, Kanye West, and Mary J Blige.
